Committee
Under Sec-13 read with Sec 25 of the Biological Diversity Act, 2002, provision has been made to constitute such number of expert committees, as State Biodiversity Boards may deem fit, for the efficient discharge of the duties and performance of the functions by the State Biodiversity Boards.
In consequence of the above provisions of the act, the following State Level Expert Committees have been constituted by Uttarakhand Biodiversity Board:
(i) Committee on Floral Biodiversity
(ii) Committee on Faunal Biodiversity
(iii) Committee on Agro Biodiversity, Animal Husbandry and Horticulture
(v) Expert Advisory Committee for Rare and Threatened Species
(vi) Research Advisory Committee
(vii) Expert Advisory Committee for Aquatic Biodiversity Conservation
(viii) Expert Committee on Access & Benefit Sharing(ABS)
(ix) Expert Advisory Committee for Faunal Rare and Threatened Species
